Outboard Repower

Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki and Honda repowers done right the first time.

Outboard Repower

A repower is a five-figure decision. We help you pick the right engine for your hull and how you actually use the boat, then handle the install — mounting, rigging, controls, fuel, electrical, and sea trial — with manufacturer-spec quality. Most repowers complete in 2–3 weeks.

What's Included

  • Engine selection consultation (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda)
  • Old engine removal and disposal
  • Transom reinforcement (if needed)
  • Fuel system and tank inspection
  • Rigging, controls, gauges, NMEA harness
  • Battery, charging, and starter circuit
  • Propeller selection and prop-shop coordination
  • Multi-stage sea trial and break-in service

Our Process

1

Engine consultation

We size the right horsepower and brand for your hull, fuel budget, and use pattern.

2

Written quote

Engine, rigging, controls, prop, labor — all itemized so you can compare apples to apples.

3

Install in covered bay

Old engine out, transom inspected and reinforced if needed, new engine bolted to spec.

4

Sea trial + break-in

We run the break-in schedule, prop-test for top end, and dial in the install.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an outboard repower cost?
For a typical 200–300 HP single, expect $25k–$45k installed depending on brand and rigging needs. Twin engines roughly double. We give you an itemized quote so you see exactly where every dollar goes.
Yamaha, Mercury, or Suzuki — which is best?
All three are excellent. Yamaha is the volume leader and easiest to service in the Bay Area. Mercury has the best torque curve. Suzuki is the most fuel-efficient. We'll match the right one to how you actually run the boat.
